Teaching has greatly interested me and became part of my life from the age of 16. With the wide range of students of all ages that I had the privilege to teach, I found fascinating how unique each individual is, in the way of understanding, development and growth. My approach thus pays particular attention to the needs of each person, by adapting and creating a program with the intention to strengthening the qualities and resolving the particular difficulties, and by fostering an environment of respect, that encourages openness, freedom and enjoyment.
My piano student’s musical understanding is enlarged by placing emphasis on creativity, developed through improvising and composing from the start, with some reading and ear-training exercises, analysing music and the way it is built, and with an exposure to a variety of different styles.
